Troika finds, recruits and manages Personal Assistants and support workers for people with Individual Service Funds and Direct Payments.

Personal Assistants can help with things like:

  • Washing and dressing
  • Shopping for food or clothes
  • Making meals
  • Medication
  • Housework and gardening
  • Helping to find work or education
  • Arranging transport
  • Organising and supporting leisure activities
  • Meeting friends and family

We work with you to find and recruit your own Personal Assistants. This includes:

  • Writing and placing advertisements, or going through our existing list of PAs
  • Making sure that applicants are well-suited to the people they will be supporting
  • enhanced DBS checks to make sure PAs do not have a criminal record
  • Checking references – getting information from people who have worked with them in the past
  • Interviews, then choosing who you want to support you

We work closely with local care organisations to make sure that you still get support if a Personal Assistant is off sick or on holiday.

Meeting over a laptop

We can offer training and information to PAs about things like self-employment, insurance and safeguarding. We can also offer support with supervisions, rotas and planning for emergencies.
